What totes do your shelves fit?

The Tote Shelf (2 Wide and 3 Wide) and The Workbench are sized around standard 52 L and 102 L totes (the black-and-yellow bins commonly sold at hardware stores). Each bay slides one bin in and out independently.

Are the totes included?

Yes — for customers on Vancouver Island and in Vancouver, totes can be included with your purchase. Just let us know when you order. Elsewhere, most customers source totes locally; we're happy to recommend specific bins by size if you need a starting point.

How long does it take to build my tote shelf?

Lead time is currently 2–3 weeks from the date you order. We build in small batches so we can keep quality high, and we'll send you a build update partway through. If you need it sooner, send us a message before ordering and we'll tell you if we can accommodate it.

When will my order ship?

Once your shelf is built, finished, and inspected, we book shipping within 1–2 business days. You'll receive an email with tracking info as soon as it's on the truck. Most customers receive their shelf within 2–5 business days after it ships, depending on location.

Can I pick up my order instead of paying for shipping?

Yes. Local pickup from our shop in Victoria, BC is free. Just select 'Local Pickup' at checkout and we'll email you when it's ready for collection. Most pickups are ready within the standard 2–3 week lead time.

What are my shipping options?

You can choose local pickup (free), flat-rate delivery within 50 km of Victoria, BC, or freight shipping across British Columbia. Freight is charged based on your address and the size of your shelf — the exact cost is shown at checkout before you pay.

Do you deliver locally?

Yes. We offer flat-rate local delivery within 50 km of our shop. If your address qualifies, the option will appear at checkout. We'll contact you to schedule a drop-off window once the shelf is ready.

Does the shelf arrive assembled?

Yes for Vancouver Island deliveries — every shelf is fully built, finished, and quality-checked in our shop before it leaves. Shipped orders farther afield arrive flat packed with instructions for quick assembly.

Can I get a custom size?

Often, yes. Send us your dimensions, preferred bin size, and how many bays you need through the contact form and we'll reply with a quote and lead time.

What's your warranty?

Every tote shelf is covered by a one-year workmanship warranty. If something isn't right because of how we built it, we'll repair or replace it at no cost. The warranty covers structural defects and joinery; it doesn't cover normal wear, damage from misuse, or damage caused by improper anchoring.

What if my shelf arrives damaged?

If your shelf arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos. We'll repair, replace, or refund — whichever makes it right. Please keep the packaging if possible, since carriers may want to inspect it.

What is your return policy?

We do not accept returns at this time. What we do promise: every shelf is covered by a one-year warranty against material and workmanship defects. If something isn't right because of how it was built, we'll repair or replace it at no cost.

How much weight can each shelf hold?

Each shelf level is rated for 75 lb of evenly distributed weight. The work surface on the Tote Shelf 3 Wide and The Workbench is rated for 200 lb.
